Hidden Airflow Cases at CES 2019: Thermaltake's C31 to C37

Thermaltake's secret sideroom at CES 2019 had the hidden airflow and budget cases, aiming to compete most directly with the Cooler Master H500.
Ad: Buy Gigabyte's Z390 Master motherboard (geni.us/eIQnI on Amazon)
Thermaltake's "WaterRAM" is not necessary for cooling, as we've illustrated with high-voltage memory overclocks, but it may be more subjectively interesting to some of you for purely looks-focused use cases. Let us know if so; otherwise, the Commander C31, C32, C33, C34, C35, C36, and C37 are budget-class mesh cases of note.

Is normalising for noise linear with regards to temperature? For example, if I want the queitest possible case while maintaining a sensible temperature, can I just look at your normalised for noise charts, and buy the best one, or will different cases perform differently relative to other cases when normalising for a different noise level?

I had only one TT case, the only one in my life i have disasemblet for throw out on scrapyard. Wors case standrards ever. Those fronts wont change anything, they're still on 2008. Taking off whole front panel in 2019? Nothing strange they have hidden it. Non removable dust filter? Jeez.......

Aesthetically i think they look bad, i think non rgb fans would look much better in the front of those cases, maybe something subtle would look fine, but the unicorn barf makes it ugly, much better off putting rgb in the bezel, like a subtle rgb honeycomb pattern would look cool

I’m a sucker for cases that have a the front panels perforated just for extra cool air intake. Heat rises so I like the top of the case to work as an extractor.

Ugly and a sub-par front filter. But, 2x200mm intake is nice and it has fully perforated PSU shroud, which should help with GPU thermals at least a little bit... They're ugly, though.

I love low airflow cases. Just take a tray of unbaked cookies and lay it on the PSU shroud, play some game in 4k for a while, and then remove your freshly baked cookies without having to go to the kitchen. Intel 9900k and Vega 64s are suggested.

Do PC gamers really care so little about thermal performance? The trend of choked intakes and stifled cases just amazing to me. Maybe only uber-nerds that watch Gamers Nexus, like us, care about things like thermals. For me airflow and cooling options are a key component when picking a case, but as with RGB perhaps this trend of poor airflow in favor of aesthetics is what people buy into more. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I care more about performance than aesthetics. You know what I really miss? Cases with side panel fan mounts, because man, nothing beats a 140mm Noctua blowing straight onto your video card to keep it cool. My 1060 OC, with custom fan curve never gets above 60-63 degrees C. I've got an old Cooler Master Haf 192, not the greatest case, it's heavy since a lot of the internals are solid metal, but it's got a side panel fan mount.

Case needs to be a little bit taller in order to accomodate top-mounted AIO radiators.Sure, you could front mount the thing (probably), but at that point you're losing the big expensive LED fans that justify the case's existence.

Kind of curious whether the front 200mm fans are blocked by a significant amount of metal like they are in the H500. I'll be taking a jigsaw to mine to fix that issue. Now if only they'd lose the tempered glass and just give a steel panel.

Promising design, disappointing looks. I much prefer CM's version. I'm happy they're focusing on airflow, mesh and all that.. But it looks really tacky. Cheap & plasticky, and just screams "12-year-old gamer". I'd love a more Fractal-like style for Tt stuff. Functional & elegant. Same with the watercooled memory, which is just silly. That's just my opinion though, maybe someone thinks it looks cool and that's fine of course. I'd never buy it however.
